# Username Squatting

Username squatting is considered activity that is disruptive or manipulative to other users and therefore violates Jeti's [Community Guidelines](https://help.jeti.app/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines).

‌Attempts to buy, sell, or solicit alternative forms of payment in exchange for usernames are also violations of the [Community Guidelines](https://help.jeti.app/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines) and can result in anything up to permanent account suspension for all parties involved.
