### Welcome to Jeti!
Creating a Jeti account unlocks the ability to post and begin interacting in your local community, as well as the ability to follow your friends.
Here you can learn how to:

# Making an Account
To make an account on Jeti:
1. Download Jeti from the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/jeti-whats-happening-nearby/id1523579231) or [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.jeti\&hl=en_SG\&gl=US).
2. Once installed, open the app by tapping the 
Icon.
#### If your location is unlocked
1. Complete the onboarding process.
2. Following the onboarding process you will be prompted to create an account.
3. Complete the fields, and press the Get Started button when finished.
#### If your location is *not* unlocked
If your location has yet to be unlocked, you will be greeted by the unlock screen, shown below.
You are able to register for an account by clicking the 
icon in the top right. Upon registering an account, you will be returned to the above screen.

2. Type whatever you'd like to say in the text area.

3. [**Add Content**](broken://pages/kDqw4RmCdJSbacM5AEPx) to your post if desired. Jeti supports adding pictures, videos, gifs, links, and polls to your posts.
4. Toggle anonymous posting **on** 
or **off**

5. When you're satisfied with your post, tap the 
at the top right of your keyboard
# Add Content to a Post
On Jeti, you can add photos, videos, links, and polls to your posts.
## Take a new photo or video for your post
To take a new photo or video:
1. Tap the 
icon. Your phone's camera interface will appear.
2. Take a photo or video, and click "Use Photo".
3. The photo or video will be added to your post.
## Select a photo or video from your camera roll
To add an existing photo or video to your post:
1. Tap the 
icon. Your keyboard will be replaced by the most recent few pictures from your phone's camera roll.
* If you wish to see more of your camera roll, swipe up on the image selector to open the expanded interface.
2. Tap to select the image you desire and hit "done" if you are using the expanded interface.
3. The photo or video is now added to your post
## Embed a link in your post
To embed a web link in your post, simply paste the desired link anywhere in your text when making a post. If the embed works, you will see a preview pop up under your post's text.
## Add a poll to your post
To add a poll to your post:
1. Tap the 
icon to open the poll menu.
2. Enter the desired options. If you would like to add more options, tap the 
button to add more. Jeti supports up to 4 poll options.
3. Select who you want to be able to vote on the poll; everyone or on people nearby.
4. Determine the length of the poll. The default is 24 hours.
5. Once finished, tap 
in the top right, and the poll will be added to the post.
# Modifying or Deleting Posts
## Can I edit a post after it's been posted?
At the moment, Jeti does not allow users to edit posts after they have been posted.
We made this decision for a couple of reasons, primarily to protect the integrity of the content being posted on the app. For example, we could encounter a situation where someone makes a normal post that starts trending in an area, then edits it to contain content that violates our community guidelines.
## How do I delete a post that I've made?
To delete a post you made on Jeti:
1. Press and hold the post. A menu will appear from the bottom of your screen.
2. Select the "Delete" option from the menu.
3. Confirm that you want to delete the post.
# Anonymous Posts
## What are anonymous posts?

The ability to make anonymous posts is only available to users who have a verified account. Don't worry, anyone can be verified on Jeti! [**Click here**](/your-account/verification) for more information.

Anonymous posts are just like any other post on Jeti, with the caveat that other users cannot see who made the post. They can be interacted with just like any other post. Upvotes and Downvotes will affect whoever made the post.
We understand that there are certain things that, while not illegal or in violation of the community guidelines, people might not want to have associated directly with them. Anonymous posting gives users the ability to say what they want without fear of social or governmental reprecussions. This does ***not*** mean that anonymous posts aren't bound by our [**TOS**](/policies-and-legal/terms) and [**Community Guidelines**](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines).
## How do I make an anonymous post?
To make a post anonymous:
1. Type out the post normally, and add any desired extra content.
2. Using the toggle switch in the top right, toggle anonymous posting **on** .
3. Tap
## Can I report an anonymous post?
Yes!
While users are not able to see who is behind an anonymous post, *we are*. Any reports submitted about an anonymous post are treated the same as normal posts by that account. If action is taken against an anonymous post, it will directly affect the account responsible for it.
If an anonymous post contains illegal content, the contents of the post and account details will be forwarded to the proper authorities.

## How do I search on Jeti?
To search on Jeti:
1. Tap  on the bottom navigation bar to open the Explore Screen.
2. Tap the Search Bar at the top of your screen.
3. Enter your desired search terms.
4. To filter your results tap **Top**, **Users**, **Tags**, or **Places** under the search bar to swap between the filters.
## What can I search for on Jeti?
You are able to search for other people, locations, and hashtags. At the moment, you are not able to search for individual posts. Don't worry, we are working on it!

# Where are my account settings?
You are able to access your account settings by navigating to the Settings page.
1. Tap the drawer icon 
in the top left corner of your screen to open the sidebar that contains the `Settings` tab.
2. Click on the `Settings` tab 
# How do I logout?
You are able to logout of your Jeti account by navigating to the Settings page and pressing the Logout button.

# What is Two-Factor Authentication and how do I use it?
Two-Factor Authentication is method used to add another layer of protection to a users account.
Hang tight, this is going to be added in a future update :tada:!
Two-Factor Authentication will allow users to provide a second form of information (phone number, authenticator app, etc) in order to access their account. This will provide an extra layer of security to protect your Jeets:thumbsup:.
# What's a recovery code? How do I use it on Jeti?
Recovery codes will be used to recover your account if you happen to lose your account information.

# Verification
## What is verification on Jeti?
Verification on Jeti is our way of ensuring that people are who they say they are. However, unlike other social media platforms, Verification on Jeti is open to *everyone*!
Having a blue check on your profile is no longer a status symbol or an indication of importance, rather it just signifies that you are in fact who you say you are!
## How can I get verified on Jeti?
To get verified on Jeti:
1. Tap  to navigate to your profile.
2. Click the **Edit Profile** button.
3. Under your profile picture, tap on **Verify Account**.
4. Select one of the options and follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you have completed the process, your verification status may take some time to complete. Don't worry, you will be notified when it does!
## What happens once I have been verified?
Now that we know you're a real person, you'll get a small blue checkmark on your profile and will unlock access to certain features that are unavailable to unverified users.
# Notification Settings
## When does Jeti send me push notifications?
Jeti will send you notifications for a few reasons:
1. If you receive an update from a Jeet you interacted with or that you created 📝
2. If Jeti sends out an announcement globally or to your area 🌐
3. Another user follows you 👋
4. When your Jeet hits trending 🚀
5. When your Jeet/Comment hits a milestone (5, 10 upvotes etc.) 🎉
## How do I turn push notifications on or off?
In order to turn on and off your push notifications for Jeti you must go to your device settings and toggle them off and on for the Jeti App.

# Offensive and Harmful Content
## Discrimination & Hate Speech
Jeti does not tolerate discrimination or hate speech toward any people or group of people based on the United States’ Federal protected characteristics; race or skin color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, and genetic information. We provide additional protections for gender or gender identity and in some cases immigration or citizenship status. Hate speech at Jeti is defined as violent, discriminatory, or dehumanizing speech, as well as calls for segregation and exclusion, and toxic stereotyping. Jeti will remove any content that makes a factual claim not supported by a valid source about a person or group based on protected characteristics.

## Bullying & Harassment
Jeti does not permit any content that includes harassment, defamation, bullying, or hate speech against other people regardless if they use the platform. We recognize the difference between public and private individuals in the interest of allowing discussion about public individuals.
#### Public & Private Individuals
For public figures, any post harassing or targeting them on a personal level, as well as certain posts where the public figure has been tagged in the post or comments will be removed.\
Our protection for private individuals is higher, forbidding posts containing defamatory or degrading content, as well as content meant to shame an individual.
#### Sexual Harassment
Jeti prohibits any type of sexual harassment on it’s platform, and acknowledges the many forms that sexual harassment can take. This includes, but is not limited to, posts or comments that are:
* Looking for sex
* Constantly asking to hookup
* Demanding contact information
* Unnecessarily sexual replies
* Visual content showing bulk or other forms of revealing genitals through\
clothing or other means of disguise
We ask users to take this as seriously as we do in an effort to make the platform more inclusive for people of any sexual orientation or gender.
## Graphic Content
Jeti prohibits content that contains graphic content with the goal of glorifying it. Things like gore, corpses, certain crime scenes, and the aftermath of terrorist activities are generally forbidden, with the exception or content made to raise awareness about certain issues. We acknowledge that users may want to discuss and raise awareness of important trending topics such as human rights abuses, acts of terrorism, natural disasters, or crime in a meaningful way. We ask that users who wish to post graphic content in such a way be aware of the sensitivities of other users and include a warning label to warn people of the graphic content.
## Sexual Content
Jeti prohibits any content containing a pornographic display of genitals and any content containing sexual activities or similar intended for the sexual arousal of its audience. Also prohibited is content showing human sperm, urine, feces, or other bodily fluids. We remove this sexual content by default to prevent the spread of non-consensual or underage sexual content. To be clear, these guidelines also apply to hand or digitally made content, unless posted for satirical, educational, or humorous purposes.

🍑**Tip:** A good rule of thumb regarding pictures or videos where you are unsure if it breaks the rules, ask yourself: *“Would it be ok to wear this in public?”*

#### Adult Nudity
We recognize that nudity is something that is more nuanced, and is something that requires an equally nuanced policy. Nudity can be shared for reasons other than purely sexual ones, such as, medical or educational purposes, to raise awareness, and in certain cases a form of protest. If it is clear that this is the purpose of the content in question, we can make allowances, but ask that you include a warning label to warn users of the content. Nudity found in pictures of statues, paintings, or other art is permissible.

# Violence & Illegal Behavior
## Violence
Jeti does not permit any posts condoning, displaying, encouraging, coordinating, planning, promoting, or participating in violence, illegal activities, or threatening behavior.
We here at Jeti understand that when joking, disagreeing, or feeling serious emotions, people will make non-serious threats or calls for violence. We work hard to take into account the cultural and linguistic context of posts to separate the non-serious posts from those that we deem a legitimate threat to the safety of the public or person. If we have determined there is a credible threat, we will deal with the post and user and work with law enforcement accordingly.
## Dangerous Entities
To prevent the spread of dangerous organizations and in an attempt to prevent violence and harm, Jeti prohibits the use by or presence of individuals and organizations involved or classified as the following:
* Drug Cartels
* Organized Crime
* Terrorism and Terrorist Organizations
* Hate Groups
* Human Trafficking
Additionally, Jeti will remove any content supporting, promoting, or recruiting for any organizations, groups, individuals, or leaders involved in the above listed activities.
Hint: If you see something, say something. If you see a post or profile you believe to be involved in the above list, please report the post or profile on Jeti before reporting it to something like the FBI Tip Desk.
## Illegal or Harmful Activities
Jeti prohibits users from using the platform in the coordination, facilitation, organization, or promotion of certain criminal or harmful activities. Jeti acknowledges that, at times, people may want to debate the legality of certain criminal or harmful activities, and permits such discussion as long as it does not advocate for certain criminal or harmful activities.

## Illegal & Regulated Goods
Jeti does not permit users, retailers, or manufacturers to partake in the purchase, advertising, or sale of illegal goods and substances, certain regulated goods, and illegally obtained goods. Regulated goods not prohibited or limited by our Community Guidelines will still be subject to local, state, and federal regulations.
#### Drugs
We prohibit the purchase, sale, trade, or distribution by users, retailers, or manufacturers of pharmaceutical, non-medical drugs and narcotics. Although we acknowledge the legality of it in certain areas, Jeti acts in compliance with federal law, and prohibits the purchase, sale, trade, or distribution of marijuana.
#### Firearms
Jeti prohibits the transfer, purchase, sale, exchange, or gifting of firearms, regulated firearms components, and ammunition between users on the platform. We acknowledge that the laws and regulations regarding firearms, firearms components, and ammunition can vary, and attempt to be as consistent as possible with the enforcement of our policies.
## Fraud
In an effort to protect our users, we remove any content that has the goal of deceiving people for monetary gain, to get an unfair advantage, or deprive another user or individual of legal rights, property, assets, or money. That being said, we allow users to educate others and raise awareness of fraudulent activities using Jeti.

# Authentic Platform Use
## Authenticity
One of the key foundations of Jeti is authentic local conversation, and part of that is the authenticity of the users themselves. As Jeti provides the option to post without an account or post anonymously with an account, we expect that those with an account will represent themselves in an authentic manner on the app and users are encouraged to use the name they use in real life.
### Inauthentic Behavior
As we maintain our commitment to authenticity, we prohibit certain behavior on the platform. Making fake accounts, artificially inflating or boosting the popularity of your content or account, or engaging in other behaviors that are intended to enable violations of the Community Guidelines are all prohibited.
## Spamming
In an effort to limit content that creates a negative user experience and detracts from people's ability to have genuine interactions or forge meaningful connections. Additionally, we wish to prevent people from abusing our platform for commercial gain or to artificially increase the popularity of themselves or their content.
We define spamming as posting the same content, hashtag, or posts about the same topic in the feed or as comments in a short period of time. Additionally, daily posts whose intention is to annoy, posting the same thing to multiple locations, and repeatedly posting with the goal of increasing your score is considered spam and will be removed.
## Advertising
While we do allow users to “launch” their posts to the top of the feed, we don't allow users to make their posts advertisements or commercial posts. This includes farming followers for other social media accounts you might have, including other Jeti accounts.
## Trolling
Jeti prohibits any form of activity on the platform with the intent to provoke a heated response, sow discord, start fights, or trigger or upset other uses for one's own enjoyment. Additionally, provoking others, crashing conversations, and attempting to disrupt or derail genuine conversation will not be tolerated.
### Abuse of the App Functions
Using features of the app to annoy or provoke other users is also considered trolling. This includes false reporting, mass downvoting or upvoting, and gaming app mechanics. The use of multiple accounts by a user or group for coordinated efforts or faking your current location is prohibited.
If you discover a feature of the app that can or is being used in this way, please report the exploit to us in a support ticket. This kind of behavior is not tolerated and will result in the permanent removal of the offending user’s account.
## Fake News
Jeti recognizes its responsibility as a platform to combat the spread of fake news. We acknowledge that this is a contentious and sensitive issue and is one that is constantly evolving. Our goal is to prevent the spread of false information without harming or impeding public discourse. However, we cannot be confident enough in our ability to effectively determine what is or isn’t fake news, therefore we currently leave it up to the users to downvote and report fake news.
# Safety and Privacy
## Privacy & Personal Information
The right to privacy was one of the founding principles of Jeti, and as such the company places immense value on the protection of a user's privacy. Just as we safeguard your private account details and personal information, we ask that you return the favor. Please do not post any private or confidential information about another person without their explicit prior consent. This includes, but is not limited to:

* Phone Numbers
* Medical Conditions
* Social Security Information
## Suicide & Self Harm
To encourage a safe environment, Jeti does not permit any type of content that encourages or promotes suicide or self-harm. We define self-harm as the intentional and direct injuring of one's body. This includes eating disorders and self-mutilation. As with other sensitive topics, Jeti wants our platform to be one where people can discuss and raise awareness to social issues and support each other. As such, we allow content that raises awareness to posts related to suicide or self harm, or content that contains genuine discussion about this topic.

## Emergencies
Given the nature of the local interconnected platform Jeti provides, Jeti asks that users immediately report content that they feel poses imminent danger. This includes but is not limited to threats you feel are legitimate and posts signaling suicidal intentions. In situations like this, please use the “emergency” reason when reporting the post.

## Human Exploitation
Human exploitation is the term used by experts to describe a number of activities that previously fell under other sections, but have now been gathered here under one umbrella. While there is no concrete definition of Human Exploitation, Jeti prohibits any content that promotes, facilitates, coordinates, or organizes the exploitation of humans.
### Child Sexual Exploitation
Jeti has a zero-tolerance policy regarding any content that exploits in a sexual manner or endangers children. Upon notice of content containing the sexual exploitation of children, we will immediately report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), in compliance with applicable law.
We recognize that sometimes people like to share nude or semi-nude pictures of their children with nothing but good intentions, however we will remove these posts due to their potential for abuse by others and to avoid the potential for misuse of the images. If you find any content that contains child sexual exploitation, please immediately [report the post](broken://pages/-MKuXFnjej3fzpH5_wA5) and/or user.

### Adult Sexual Exploitation
As with certain other sensitive topics, we acknowledge that users want to use Jeti as a platform to discuss topics surrounding sexual abuse, violence, or exploitation. While we encourage genuine discussion regarding these topics, Jeti will remove any content that threatens or promotes sexual violence, assault, or exploitation. Additionally, we will remove content that depicts sexual violence or intimate images/videos that are posted without consent from the individuals depicted in the content. Our goal is to provide a place for activists or victims to have a voice to share their experiences while protecting them and everyone else at the same time.
We will also remove content that promotes, displays, advertises, or coordinates commercial sexual services such as prostitution and escort services, as well as sexual acts with non-consenting parties as part of our effort to prevent possible human trafficking, which you can read more about below.
### Human Trafficking
Human exploitation includes human trafficking, and given the unique local nature of the platform that Jeti provides, we feel a we have a special responsibility to do whatever we can to prevent, disrupt, or stop any sort of human trafficking. Jeti stands by the National Human Trafficking Hotline’s definition, that is, human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom for profit.
Human trafficking consists of three parts; an act (such as recruitment or transportation/transfer), a means (such as force, coercion, or fraud) and a purpose (such as forced sex, labor, or slavery).
Human Trafficking is a global problem that affects everyone regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or location. It’s abusive nature means that victims cannot consent, therefore it is of utmost importance to Jeti to do whatever we can to stop it. If you see a post you suspect is involved in any stage of human trafficking, please immediately report it.

Welcome to Jeti. The service is provided and controlled by Jeti, Inc.
You are reading the Terms of Service, which govern the relationship and serve as an agreement between you and us and set forth the terms and conditions by which you may access and use the Platform and our related websites, services, applications, products, and content (collectively, the “Services”).
## **2. Accepting the Terms**
By accessing or using our services, these terms will automatically apply to you. Therefore, you should make sure that you read them carefully before using the app. You are not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Jeti, Inc.
## **3. Changes to the Terms**

* By using our services you grant us permission to download and install updates to our platform on your device
You may not:

* Attempt to distribute, transfer, license or sell any of our services or their derivatives

* Harass, bully, intimidate, promote violence or discrimination toward any person, persons or entity
* Use or attempt to use another person or entity’s account without proper authorization from Jeti and that user
* Create a false identity on Jeti regardless of the existence of that person or entity outside of the platform
* Use Jeti’s service to upload, transmit or advertise any malicious or technologically harmful software, service or website whether through a file upload or link
* Use the Platform for any unauthorized advertising or solicitation, including “junk mail”, “spam” or “pyramid schemes”
* Distribute or upload any private information about a third party, including but not limited to home or business addresses, contact information (e.g. phone numbers, email addresses, etc.), personal identification documents or banking information such as account or debit/credit card numbers
* Upload or make available any content that infringes or may infringe on any copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of another person or entity
* Upload or make available any content or material that is defamatory in nature of any person or entity
* Upload or make available any content or material that is obscene, pornographic, hateful, violent or uploaded with the intent of being inflammatory, antagonistic, or embarrassing
* Upload or make available any content that would constitute a crime or encourage others to commit a criminal act, or other dangerous activities
* Upload or make available any content displaying, promoting, or encouraging suicide, self-harm, and/or dangerous acts
* Upload or make available content promoting dangerous organizations or groups, including attempting to organize these groups using our Platform
* Upload or make available any content promoting animal cruelty or cruelty of any kind
* Upload or make available any content containing threats or that is intended to bully, harass, hurt or distress others
* Upload or make available any racist or discriminatory content
* Provide any answers, comments, opinions or recommendations that you are not legally authorized to provide
* Upload or make available any material that, at the sole discretion of Jeti, restricts or interferes with other persons using the Platform, or may expose Jeti, its services or its users to liability of any kind

## **5. Intellectual Property Rights**
Rights and permissions you grant to Jeti, Inc.
The content you post on our platform covered by intellectual property rights such as photos, and videos remains your intellectual property. However, when you post, share or distribute content on our Platform, you are agreeing to grant us non-exclusive, royalty free, transferable license and permission to host, use, modify, display, translate, and or distribute your content. To terminate this agreement, you can delete your content at any time.
Additionally, you grant us the permission to display your username and other aspects of your profile, as well as the actions you perform on our platform in connection to advertisements, and other Jeti sponsored content without receiving compensation.
You grant us permission to download and install updates to our platform on your device
## **6. Arbitration Agreement**
By using our Platform, you are agreeing that any dispute between you and us will be settled through binding arbitration on an individual basis. You may only bring a claim against the platform on an individual basis and cannot seek a solution that would impact other users of our platform. Before commencing arbitration you must communicate to us through a written notice outlining your claim and stating your intent to seek arbitration. If we are unable to settle the dispute within 30 days of written notice only then can arbitration begin.
# Beta Testing Policy
### By opting in to experimental features on the Jeti mobile application, you agree to the following:
Ownership and Copyright of Software Title to the Software and all copies thereof remain with Jeti, Inc. and/or its suppliers. The Software is copyrighted and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Licensee will not remove copyright notices from the Software. Licensee agrees to prevent any unauthorized copying of the Software. Except as expressly provided herein, Jeti, Inc. does not grant any express or implied right to you under Jeti, Inc.'s patents, copyrights, trademarks, or trade secret information.
### Beta Disclaimer
Limitation on Liability Provision of any Software under this Agreement is experimental and shall not create any obligation for Jeti, Inc. to continue to develop, productize, support, repair, offer for sale or in any other way continue to provide or develop Software either to Licensee or to any other party.
The Beta Features are provided "as is" without any express or implied warranty of any kind including warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL Jeti, Inc. ### Termination
Unless otherwise terminated as specified under this Agreement. Licensee’s rights with respect to the Beta Software will terminate upon the earlier of (a) the initial commercial release by Jeti, Inc. of a generally available version of the Beta Features or (b) automatic expiration of the Beta Features based on the system date. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time for any reason or no reason by providing the other party advance written notice thereof. Upon any expiration or termination of this Agreement, the rights and licenses granted to the user under this Agreement shall immediately terminate, and the user shall immediately cease using the Beta Features.
# Username Purchase Terms
Applicable to Jeti Early Access
## General Information
Certain one and two character usernames are available for purchase on Jeti during Early Access. Prices are subject to change, so make sure to pay attention to your purchase price during checkout. Accounts that purchase usernames are still bound by the [Jeti Terms of Service](/policies-and-legal/terms) and [Jeti Community Guidelines.](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines)
Accounts with purchased usernames will be treated as a normal account on Jeti. If an account with a purchased username violates the [Jeti Terms of Service](/policies-and-legal/terms) of [Jeti Community Guidelines](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines), the account will be suspended and the username will be invalidated.
## Refunds, Disputes, and Fraud
If an account with a purchased username submits a payment fraudulently, the account will be suspended and the username will be invalidated. Refunds are not accepted.
One and two character usernames that are claimed fraudulently will be invalidated and the account will be suspended.
# Username Squatting
Username squatting is considered activity that is disruptive or manipulative to other users and therefore violates Jeti's [Community Guidelines](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines).
Attempts to buy, sell, or solicit alternative forms of payment in exchange for usernames are also violations of the [Community Guidelines](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines) and can result in anything up to permanent account suspension for all parties involved.

**Downloading and Using Jeti for the First Time**

# Creating an Account
### Making an account on Jeti is easy. Here's how to do it:
1\. Navigate to the profile page by tapping the (person) icon in the bottom right of your screen.
2\. Tap the blue "**My Account**" button in the top right, then tap the "**Create Account**" button on the screen that follows. If you already have an account, click the blue text that says "Already have an account?"
3\. You should now find yourself at the account creation page. Enter the required information including your name, your preferred username, a valid email address, and your preferred password. Once you have entered everything, click the "**Submit**" button.

#### If you've forgotten your password and can't get into your account, don't panic! Resetting your password is easy on Jeti.
Navigate to the login screen and click the text that says "Forgot?" on the right side of the password entry box.
Type in the email associated with your account, click Submit, and you will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
# Verified Accounts
On Jeti, account verification is used to eliminate confusion about the identity of a particular public figure, brand, or celebrity. Once an account is verified, you can be sure that the account's identity is authentic.
A verified badge
will appear next to the verified account's name everywhere on Jeti. Verified badges do not imply an endorsement by Jeti.
## Eligibility
Only accounts with a high likelihood of being impersonated are made verified on Jeti. Because of this, only some public figures, brands, or celebrities have a verified badge.
If your account is eligible, you may have already received a notice from Jeti about becoming verified. If not, you may apply if you meet the following criteria:
* Your account must be active for at least 90 days, have a complete profile (including a profile picture, name, and bio), and have at least one post.
* If any post or profile content is observed as violating our [Terms of Service](/policies-and-legal/terms), [Community Guidelines](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines), or any of the [potential reasons for verification removal](/old/accounts/verified-accounts#potential-reasons-for-verification-removal), your application will be rejected.
* Your account must represent an authentic and highly searched for entity, such as a well-known brand or person. Each entity is allowed one verified account per language.
## Applying for Verification
If your account meets the above criteria, you may submit an application [here](https://go.jeti.app/get-verified). Applications that do not provide valid documentation will be rejected.
#### Public Figures and Celebrities
Personal accounts must provide government-issued identification that corresponds to the identity of the account they wish to verify. If using an alias, follow-up documentation may be requested. Unless otherwise stated, your profile picture must prominently display the face of the individual on the provided photo identification.
#### Businesses, Brands, and Organizations
Organizations must provide documentation that proves their ownership or management of a legal business entity, such as an Articles of Incorporation. The account profile picture must display the logo, or a variation of the logo, of the organization requesting verification.
## Loss of verification status
Jeti reserves the right to remove the verified status of a user at any time. This may happen without notice, and previously verified accounts may not be eligible for re-verification.
#### Potential reasons for verification removal
* Changing account details to intentionally mislead others
* Violating Jeti's [Terms of Service](/policies-and-legal/terms)
* Violating Jeti's [Community Guidelines](/policies-and-legal/community-guidelines)
# Blocking an Account
You can choose to block an account when you would like to stop seeing posts by them or prevent them from sending you DMs. Read more about blocking on Jeti on the following pages:

# How To Block An Account

Jeti makes blocking someone as easy as possible.
To block an account, navigate to the profile page of the user you wish to block. Tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner, and click the **Block** button. A popup appear to confirm your intent to block the user to prevent accidental blockings. Click **Block** again.

If you have been blocked by a user, you will no longer be able to do the following:
* Follow the user
* Tag the user in a post
* See the users posts or reposts
* Direct Message the user

# Making a New Post

To make a new post, just press the **blue circle with the white plus sign** at the bot tom of your screen. The post screen will pop up along with your keyboard. Type whatever you'd like to say and click the blue **Post** button.
To make a post anonymous, toggle the slider next to the
button. Posts made by users with no account are anonymous by default.

# Adding Content to Your Post
### Photos and Videos

To take a photo or video with your phones camera and add it to the post, tap the 
icon above the keyboard, then snap a picture or record a video and it will be added to your post!
To insert a photo or video from your phones camera roll, tap the
icon above the keyboard. You camera roll will open, with the option to browse your different albums if desired. Select a photo, tap **Choose**, and your chose content will be included in the post.

Jeti features Giphy integration. To post a gif, tap the blue **GIF** symbol above your keyboard and select the gif you want to be included in your post.

### Polls

To add a poll to your post, tap the 
icon. The polls menu will appear, allowing you to customize the poll. Enter your choices, adding up to 2 more for a total of 4 if desired. Choose who you want to be able to vote on the poll, either everyone or just people nearby, and finally, choose when the poll closes.

# Commenting on Posts
You also have the option to reply to another user's post. Pressing the comment bubble at the bottom of a specific post allows you to see what other users have replied, as well as for you to type right at the bottom of the screen. Replying works the same as posting.
# Voting on a Post
Jeti offers a unique way to voice your opinion on what other users say about a post. Upvotes and Downvotes level out to give the user an average between the two. You cannot see who votes what, but if you like something, Upvote it! If you hate it, Downvote it!
# Score System
Each user is awarded an ever evolving score on their profile page.
This **Score** is the overall amount of Upvotes and Downvotes between every one of your posts and comments.
# Reposting
Jeti offers a way to repost as well. If you would like to share a post with your followers or those around you, simply press the repost button located right next to the comment button under the post.
# Delete a Post
Oh no, You said something you shouldn't have online again. Never fear, Jeti allows users to delete their past mistakes and pretend like they never happened.
First press on the post to expand it.
Then, press on the three dots in the top right of the screen.
From there, you have the option to delete it.

# About Jeti Polls
Jeti allows users to ask some of life's most pressing questions, and get an answer from the public too. Pizza or wings for dinner? can't decide? leave it up to a poll to let your followers and those around you decide what you're eating for dinner.
To create a poll, begin by making a post.
Then, press the **Poll** button next to the GIF button.
Jeti will then prompt you to ask a question and give two choices for other users to decide between. On this screen, you can also limit who can vote on the polls and how long the poll is active for.
To make a vote on a poll, simply press on the choice you prefer more.
# Checking Posts From Other Areas
Jeti allows users to see posts from other areas as well. To begin, just go to the navigation page.
On this page you can see the leaderboard of popular places where people use Jeti. If you aren't lucky enough to be near one of these places, just scroll down and see what people are saying in other cities closer to you.
Still can't find what you are looking for? go into the search bar and search for the place you want to find out everything being said.
# Can I Post in Other Areas?
Unfortunately, you cannot make a post to another area. But it is never too late do drive there to make a Jeti post.
# Sharing a Post
Jeti also offers a good way to share a post with others who may not be on the app. Pressing the **Share** button at the bottom right of a post allows you to share it to other social medias as well as through email or text.
# Hashtags
Hashtags are a great way to find other people talking about the same thing as you. simply begin your word or phrase with a # to have others find your post.
To find other posts with the same hashtag, simply go into the navigation page and search for your desired hashtag.
